THE WEST BELFAST HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Thank you for visiting our  Internet site.  As an up-to-date historical society, we want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with our members and our ideals.  A new content management system will enable us to always keep you up to date.

At present, our web site is still being updated on a regular basis  We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of up and coming talks as soon as possible via the usual channels: Church Bulletins,  Libraries and Local Radio.

The Next  Meeting of the Society will be on Friday the 13th of  October 2017 at 7.30pm

The Venue will be:  ST. Michaels Parish Centre , Finaghy Road North, Belfast

The topic will be : "THE PATRICIA CURRAN MURDER".

The Speaker will be: MR STEPHEN CAMERON

ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND

The emphasis and ethos of  'The West Belfast Historical Society'  is to promote local history and to keep the memories of those who went before us alive in the minds of  the people of today and  for future generations to ponder over.  If  this is of interest to you please come along to our meetings and learn more about your local heritage.   In the meantime if you have any queries you can reach us at our e.mail address: 'p.greer@hotmail.co.uk' or 'belfasthistory@outlook.com'

THIS YEARS FIELD TRIP WAS TO DUNDALK, CARLINGFORD AND OMEATH AND TOOK PLACE ON SATURDAY THE 17th OF JUNE 2017

(An additional local field trip Hannahstown, Castlerobin and Drumbeg Church also took place on Saturday the 13th of August).

LAST YEARS FIELD TRIP WAS TO DUBLIN:
ARBOR HILL, THE MANSION HOUSE AND THE DUBLIN DUCK TOUR.
THE TRIP TOOK PLACE ON SATURDAY THE 18TH OF JUNE 2016.
